Position Quotations
Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position. Mohandas Gandhi We hear only those questions for which we are in a position to find answers. Friedrich Nietzsche It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a Free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even of his personal services to the defense of it. George Washington Because power corrupts, society's demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases. John Adams If you've earned a position, be proud of it. Don't hide it. I want to be recognized. When I hear people say, 'There's Joan Crawford!' I turn around and say, 'Hi! How are you!' Joan Crawford A lie does not consist in the indirect position of words, but in the desire and intention, by false speaking, to deceive and injure your neighbour. Jonathan Swift While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security. Ann Coulter Anyone who knows anything of history knows that great social changes are impossible without feminine upheaval. Social progress can be measured exactly by the social position of the fair sex, the ugly ones included. Karl Marx Social progress can be measured by the social position of the female sex. Karl Marx The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don't let them put you in that position. Leo Buscaglia |
